Last updated: 30 August 2026. This page explains what personal data Chantlings collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
Chantlings is a product from Chantlings Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17281710. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us at hello@chantlings.com.
We do not collect or store anything from the My Chantling Moment card creator itself — any photo you upload and any text you type there stays in your own browser and is never sent to us. Only the separate "Can't find your club?" form sends data to us.
We also don't process any payment data. Buying a book takes you to our retail partner, The Great British Book Shop, which handles that transaction under its own privacy policy.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site — for example, to host the website, process form submissions, and measure basic site usage. Each processes your data only on our instructions. Some may process data outside the EU/EEA (for example, in the United States); where this happens, they do so under recognised safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We keep mailing list and submission data for as long as it's relevant to the purpose you gave it for, and for a reasonable period afterwards. If you unsubscribe, we keep only the minimum record needed to honour that request.
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@chantlings.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk, or, if you're an EU resident, your local data protection authority, such as Denmark's Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk).
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
